TRANSITION
There will come a day when the sun sets on the Service Member's military service. Service Members have a deep, patriotic connection to each other and to our Nation. Making the decision to separate or retire from the military is a difficult and daunting decision. Compounding that decision is the stress Veterans face knowing the corporate sector struggles to translate the true value and meaning of their experience. Veteran NOTES provides the education and resources businesses need to hire the right Veteran for the right job.
"This is a needed resource and will be very helpful to employers hiring our transitioning Veterans."
Lieutenant Commander, Navy, Retired
The rate of separation from the military varies by branch and rank. The probability of Veterans serving 20 years or more is very small. It ranges from only 2%-18% depending upon branch of service. Most Service Members separate from the military between 4 and 10 years of service.*
